Gerry
Gerry is a global Strategic Advisor with Tata Consultancy Services, one of the world’s largest technology consulting companies, and is the Board Chair of Clik2pay, a financial technology company in the payments space. He is a board member of Currency Research, a global conferencing and research company.
Gerry is the former President and CEO of Payments Canada, where he led changes to its governance and board structure, it’s leadership and culture, and developed a strategy and plan to transform the organization and modernize the Canadian payments system.
Prior to Payments Canada, Gerry held a number of executive roles at the Bank of Canada, leading Banking Operations, Corporate Services and Currency functions, where he led the launch of Canada’s innovative polymer bank notes, the redevelopment of the Bank’s core banking platform, and the transformation of the corporate service functions.
Gerry was previously an Executive Advisor with Mindbridge AI, a risk discovery platform company, and was a Board Director of Fortress Global Enterprises, a Canadian public company, and Landqart AG, a Swiss banknote security company.
On the International front, Gerry was a member of the International Council of Payment Association Chief Executives, a founding member of P7, a group of Asia Pacific payment organizations, and the chair of the 32-country Central Bank Counterfeit Deterrence Group. He was a member of an international business ethics accreditation council, based in London. He also co-led the flagship executive leadership program at the Gestalt International Study Center in Massachusetts.
Gerry was a member of a 2015 Canadian expedition to climb Mount Everest and co-founded AdAstra, a Canadian charity organization. He holds an MBA, is a CPA.
